Ageless Martial Arts offers an excellent dojo location, Sensei Lorenzo is the warmest welcoming Sensei to host children birthday parties or to learn the arts inclusively. AMA hosted my grandson 8th birthday party yesterday and the Sensei found creative ways to keep the children and parents excitedly entertained...AMA is high on my favorites list

This place has been amazing for my son in so many ways. Sensei Lorenzo is fully invested in helping kids (and adults) challenge themselves to meet their full potential (physically and mentally). He also throws an epic Birthday party (also for kids or adults).

So far we are super happy with Ageless Martial Arts and Sensei Lorenzo. He seems to really care about spreading the benefits of martial arts and takes special care to teach karate to kids in a relatable way. The teaching method is the right balance beteeen discipline and fun. And Sensei does a ridiculous amount of extras for both kids and parents. Nice to see someone ambitiously growing his small business the right way. Highly recommend Ageless Martial Arts

Sensei Lorenzo and his staff go all out and work hard to better our boys and the community. Sensei is passionate, kind and goes to great lengths to please everyone and improve the children’s abilities. Not sure if I have ever met someone who appreciates, accepts and receives thoughts from parents and others to better their business. My boys are learning how to defend themselves, work hard and becoming passionate about being great at Shotokan. They are proud of their accomplishments. Thank you, Sensei!

I have been working out on my own for a very long time but never had much of any practical application of my fitness. I wanted to be able to learn how to apply my force with expertise. This want made me find Ageless. From the first time I spoke to Sensei Lorenzo on the phone he answered all of my questions with expertise and even advised to check out other schools if Ageless did not fit me, this showed me he cared more about my goal instead of his bank account. From the first time I stepped on the mat he was nothing but patient and a professional. I have only just started training at this dojo, but Sensei Lorenzo has made me incredibly excited to steep myself in Japanese tradition and learn the art of Karate. If you're not quite sure about joining or not, give the dojo a call, you'll see all the proof you need as soon as you talk to Sensei Lorenzo.

How Martial Arts Classes Las Vegas Can Help Kids

Martial Arts Classes Las Vegas

Have you been thinking about getting your kids into any martial arts schools in Las Vegas? Are you wondering if it will be beneficial to your kids? If your answer is positive, then this article is just for you.

One thing you must note is that exercises are excellent for every child. However, kids who actually think and learn differently can find it hard to get a sport that best suits them.

Before we delve into how martial arts can help kids, we must, first of all, have an understanding of what martial arts entail.

What Are Martial Arts?

When seeking martial arts classes in Las Vegas, you must understand what the concept of martial arts entails. For starters, martial arts is an ancient practice that originated from Asia.

It was initially meant for self-defense. Nevertheless, people today do martial arts to build both mental and physical strength. There are various types of martial arts, which include:

  • Tae kwon do and karate, which focuses on blocking and striking
  • Jiu-jitsu and judo, which concentrates mainly on grappling and wrestling.

Nonetheless, all of them use planned yet repeated movements and focus on the link between the body and mind.

If you are thinking of how martial arts can help kids, understand that most families say martial arts helps boost their kid’s focus and self-control. There are even studies that support this.

Benefits Of Martial Arts To Kids

Before you begin your search for martial arts schools in Las Vegas for your kids, you must know how martial arts can help kids. Some of the benefits include:

  1. It helps to build confidence and self-esteem

The art of learning new skills boosts a child’s self-esteem and confidence. Through martial arts, they will compulsorily work together with other kids in the class and perform their skills in front of the crowd during special events or grading.

  1. It helps to work on self-improvement and setting of goals

The majority of the different martial arts types tend to have a belt or ranking system that kids work through. This means that children are rewarded for their mastery of skills and practices.

When kids focus on a goal like attaining a belt or new rank, it is regarded as an ideal way to learn more about motivation and goal setting.

  1. It helps to learn respect and boosts their listening skills

Another exciting way you should note down on how martial arts can help kids is through the art of teaching them respect and improving their listening skills. If you never knew, respecting the instructor or martial arts teacher is vital in martial arts.

Kids will need to listen in a bid to follow instructions to learn new skills and moves. This will make them be more attentive and respond swiftly.

  1. It helps to boost teamwork and belonging

Though martial arts is mostly done as an individual, do not forget that teamwork is also an essential aspect of the practice. When kids are made to work in pairs, it is most times used to teach sparring or to help them work on their moves

In a situation wherein kids are part of a club, it helps create a sense of belonging and lifelong friendships. Registering your child in the best kids martial arts school will go a long way in their lives.

  1. It allows kids to get physical in a safe environment

For those with kids who love punching, kicking, wrestling, or rolling, martial arts provides a safe space for them to do all these things. Your kid will have the chance to learn how to punch bags, land safely if he or she falls backward, and, of course, learn how to block punches or kicks.

This is much safer for them than allowing them to practice on their siblings on your room floor.

  1. Kids will learn more about conflict resolution

While you may have it in mind that martial arts revolve around fighting, it is surprisingly the opposite in most cases. An answer to your question on how martial arts can help kids is that most martial arts styles tend to focus on self-defense.

These styles do not allow students to fight each other until they are much older and have advanced skills. Note that the overall aim of martial arts is to teach kids non-violent, peaceful conflict resolution skills.

Martial arts will also assist them in working out ways to avoid any form of physical altercations. When you register your kid into martial arts classes, you will discover that martial arts have so much to offer your kid.

Martial arts will help get them active and teach them to be focused, peaceful, and confident. If your kid grows to love martial arts, the child can keep on practicing into adulthood, where most of the benefits will still be reaped.

  1. It will help kids to focus on individual growth, not a team competition

There are lots of kids who struggle daily with the pressure of competing with kids in their age range. When it comes down to martial arts, the primary focus is solely on self-improvement.

With martial arts, your kids will learn to work towards specific goals. In this art, kids are allowed to work at their own pace as some kids feel they can barely ever win anything in the game of life.

  1. Martial arts helps with coordination

When registering your kid in martial arts classes, bear in mind that practicing martial arts will help the child to get a much better feel for their body existing in space.

It is ideal for kids struggling with motor skills as it also helps children understand the power of their minds over their bodies.

Conclusion

Now that you understand how martial arts can help kids, you must be ready to search for suitable martial arts classes Las Vegas for your child. Before you stick with any particular martial arts school, you are to meet with the head of the martial arts studio and be honest with your kid’s challenges.

Interestingly, it would be best to look for the best kids martial arts school that takes on a traditional approach that focuses solely on character development. The school you decide upon should be supportive as instructors need to push their students while understanding and supporting the child’s challenges.
